About Me

I am a college student in Minnesota, getting an Web Site Design AAS degree. My reason for getting the degree is not for learning, but for further proof of my skills. In fact, all I've really learned of use is a little tidbit about the details of GIF compression, and that I'd rather be getting a degree in philosophy, logic, or maybe even sociology or language. Web Site design loses it's charm when you're not learning anything anymore. But, hey, it's a living (supposedly). I was born in February, 1982, am about 5'10" with dark brown eyes and hair (which is eternally grown too long).

My interests are extremely varied. As of late, I have become much more interested in the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. I have learned much of his mythologies and languages. I listen to a wide variety of music, and my musical selection ends up as an odd amalgamation, including Mozart, DJ Dan, Rammstein, Gorillaz, Squirrel Nut Zippers, and many other odd combinations. I read a lot, and particularly enjoy J.R.R. Tolkien, Stephen King (though I am not a horror fan-my favorite King stories are not his horror stories), and Neal Stephenson (although all I've read by him is Snow Crash, which would be my favorite novel if it weren't for J.R.R. Tolkien).

I also have a varied appreciation of movies, and like just about any movie that is well done, although I don't like horror or "chick-flicks". The movies that interest me most are those that require or provoke thought, such as Memento, Fight Club (a much more complex movie than ignorants like Rosie O'Donnell would like to think), 12 Monkeys, Serial Experiments Lain (a wonderful series with excellent discussions on the effects of technology on humans, and a lot of perception vs. reality), and Perfect Blue (probably the best psychological thriller and conversation movie ever made. Don't be deceived by it being animated: this is definitely NOT for kids!). As you may have guessed, I do like Anime (Japanese animation that is quite often very much not for children). I find America's stigma that animation is only for children aggravating at best. I disregard stereotypes and stigmas as often and completely as I can, as people are always quite different than your initial impressions.

I also have a great deal of interest in philosophy and quantum physics, which I won't go in to now, or I'll never shut up (you have no idea how hard it was for me to keep from elaborating on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien).

My creations are as varied as everything else I am interested in. I create desktop background, themes, cursors, icons, music, skins for various programs, skins for various games, models and maps for games (I have not yet released any models or maps to the public), fonts, web sites, various types of art (computer art, drawing, pottery, welding), writing (poetry, short stories, and a few barely-started novels), pencil-and-paper RPG systems and worlds, and even languages (some of which may be unveiled soon). The most important of these in our society is, of course, web site design.

I have already done a few sites commercially:

I have also been non-commercially involved with:

  • Eva: R - A top-quality online fan fiction story for the series Neon Genesis Evangelion. I collaborated on the desktop theme (which can be downloaded in my Creations section), and some of the logos.
  • Several others which I have not decided whether or not to list...
