Canoe
|
10.00
to 35.00
|
Common
in towns near water
|
Canoes
range from a hollowed out log with a long stick for steering to
an aluminum alloy with some plastic ores. Some even have motors.
Usually small and narrow to reduce drag and make propulsion easy.
|
Canoes
can seat anywhere from one to fifteen people. They can (with a great
deal of effort) be paddled up stream but it takes more than one
person to do it. (this of course depends on the speed of the water
and weather or not there are large pointy rocks)

A very
common means of travel, (hay and oats are easier to find than gas
and a good mechanic). Horses can pull or carry things or just give
you faster transportation to wherever you are trying to go.
|
Horses
can be trained by some one who knows what they are doing. And are
great assets when trying to reduce travel time.
They
reduce travel time by half when on a road.

Good
horses don’t get tired as easily, and are well behaved. They are
also sometimes trained to aid the rider in combat such as biting
or kicking at the right time.
|
Good
horses can reduce travel time by 2/3 when on a road with out over
riding them. (over riding a horse is bad for its health).

Raft
|
20.00
to 100.00 depending on quality
|
Very
common in towns
near water
|
Rafts
come in many shapes and sizes, varying from a number of rough logs
strapped together with vines, to some finished wood work with seats,
shelter from the elements and a motor of some sort.
|
Rafts
are very fast and easy, not to mention relatively safe when going
down stream. But when going upstream or out on the ocean you better
at least have a motor. Ocean travel on a raft is unadvised even
for the more experienced travelers due to the various dangers the
ocean holds.
